Jab me choti thi, mujhe pata tha ke mein alag se hoon.

Bohot muskil hai, samajhna mera culture ghar ke andar aur ghar ke bahar.

Jo gaane yah art mein dekhthi hoon bohot alag sa hota tha ghar ke bahar.

When I was younger, I knew I was a bit different.

It used to be difficult to understand my culture inside my home and the one outside.

The music or art culture that I would see would be drastically different from what I would see outside.

Istara hi, mein art jo tv show ke bare mein dekhthi hoon.

Phir bhi, in salon mein, mein badal gayi us shanaakth ke liye, jisme mein do dunya mein hoon.

Zadatar kyonke mujhe zada dono culture mein ja sakti hoon, aur uske under aram hoti hoon.

Sometimes I would think that the differences are so clear that I lived in two different worlds.

So, when I see these artists show their representations of their culture, I immediately get invested in it.

For artists that are from a South Asian background, the relatability of chai or the arabic can make a small community on its own.

Kabhi kabar, mujhe lagta tha ke joh mukhtalif baatein itna saaf hai jistara mein two mukhtalif dunya mein hoon.

Toh jab mein yein kalatar dekhthi thi, mein achanak se ghum hoti thi, uske andar.

Joh kalatar South Asian se hai, jo humaangi hai chai ya arabic zubaan ka, eik choti se community bana hota hai.

In the same way, when I see art that relates to the tv shows or referneces that I know.

Either way, through the years, I kind of adapted to the identity of having two worlds.

Mainly because it let me to go deeper into each culture and find comfort in them.

For this assignment, I was inspired by Click Club's net art. I wanted to do the same hovering of images, but with art pieces that I love and show the two worlds that I am from. On top of that, I wanted to also display text that was kind of like a poem. This was proven hard since I had to place it with the hover class tag. I used a grid to make like a Instagram interface but divided it into the two worlds that I am in.The art pieces are taken from these Instagram pages:@sightrash and @hafandhaf.
